Almost a wash-out
For obvious reasons, many events in the Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire areas during the floods in August were cancelled. However events outside this area were able to go ahead with little disruption.
Pokerevening would like to congratulate Jon Kalmer from Chorley in Lancashire on coming fifth at the world poker championships in Las Vegas in July. He collected prize money of £600,000.

The Isle of Capri casino which is under the Ricoh Arena Coventry, opened its doors in July. The UK`s biggest it has 100,000 square feet some of them are dedicated to a poker room with 12 tables, hosting poker tournaments four times a week.

Always be ready to play a hand or two “ out of character “ so that your opponents find it difficult to “ read you ”
