David “chip” Reece aged 56 considered to be the greatest cash game player of modern times, died in Las Vegas in early December. Reece the winner of three world series championship bracelets, also won almost $3 million in prize money during his outstanding poker tournament career.
The 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, will begin on the 30th May with a 55 event schedule.
The event will be staged inside the Rio Convention Centre with pre series registration beginning in February on site at the main cage at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino and at the www.worldseriesofpoker.com site.
