Newsletter for July 2007-06-26
Greetings to all my newsletter readers
An outstanding Poker evening was had by everyone at the the Beer Circus Croydon Surrey on Saturday 21st June.
There was a terrific atmosphere in the cellar below the main lounge of the beer circus with all of Robert Urquart`s stag night guests playing Texas Hold em for 3 hours enjoying the pokerevening pot and no limit formula.
At most Poker parties as in Robert`s, there are always experienced and inexperienced players, so 2 tables can easily accommodate both groups with a prize for each of the winners.
An earlier event on the 7th June at the NEC Birmingham,I found myself dealing roulette for my old friend Paul Shanks managing director of Big Indoor Games.
Yet another spectacular presentation from B.I.G. Twenty tables including Roulette, Blackjack, Dice and Caribbean Stud Poker, with an array of attractive female croupiers including Vicki Shanks Paul`s wife.
With over 1500 guests arriving at 8pm, Hall 12, Paul and Vicki stage managed this black tie event brilliantly, keeping the casino a surprise until after dinner when the curtains were rolled back at 10pm.
I am pleased to announce the launch of www.BridgeEvening.com in July 2007.
For all card game enthusiast www.bridgevening.com will point new Bridge players in the right direction.
I believe that there is a natural progression from poker to Bridge and vica versa
Rubber Bridge is the first stop for both card playing camps.
Rubber Bridge has a large gambling element within the game where as Duplicate Bridge has none.
So Poker players and Duplicate Bridge players may find themselves on common ground with Rubber Bridge.
Poker Tip for July
Slow play with a ten and a four unsuited is known as a Broderic Crawford.
Make sure that you are ahead of the field before entering this territory.
